About Us

Who We Are
At Grease Guru, we specialise in delivering professional grease management solutions for commercial kitchens across the UK.
With hubs and engineers throughout the UK, we are perfectly positioned to support you. Whether you are looking for help navigating the maze of regulations and legislation, replacing well-used equipment, or protecting your kitchen from costly drainage issues, Grease Guru has the experience, capacity, and skill set to help.
Our team are directly employed, skilled engineers trained in grease and pump management, drainage, and plumbing.
Grease Guru is privately owned. Peter McGowan, Antony Scott, Josie McGowan, and Barbra Tattersall are active in the business, each bringing a unique skill to the company. The business is supported by Grease Guru Group Operations Director Simeon Turner. The next generation is actively learning and becoming increasingly involved.
Grease Guru grew from a drainage contractor who recognised the importance of proactive grease management rather than reacting to drainage problems. From the outset, a decision was made to position Grease Guru as a professional service provider, supported by dedicated maintenance and installation teams and a 24/7 on-demand service for its customers.
Vehicles were equipped with the latest grease management equipment and, uniquely, with large wastewater tanks to ensure full compliance with waste transfer requirements. Engineers are now spread across the UK, supported by an ever-growing hub of depots.
In the intervening years, Grease Guru has grown significantly by delivering an excellent customer journey, effective pricing models, strong account management, and a stable, knowledgeable workforce.

What Makes Us Different
Grease Guru does not manufacture; we consult, install, maintain and provide an on-demand service. This ensures you will always receive the best advice for your unique operation. By avoiding the manufacture of grease traps, we can uniquely tailor solutions to meet our customers' needs. Not all problems fit standard solutions, and at times, alternative approaches must be considered. Since Grease Guru isn't limited to any particular product, it has the flexibility to design compliant solutions that meet customer requirements rather than merely push product sales.
We maintain strong relationships with a wide range of Grease Trap manufacturers, including those producing Grease Recovery Units with flow rates ranging from 0.5 to 4 Litres per second. Our offerings include Passive Grease Separators from 4,000 litres down to 30 litres, as well as coffee, starch, and food catchers. We provide pumps to manage wastewater flow and Grease Traps designed for large dishwashers. Our grease Traps are available both above and below ground, made of steel and epoxy.

Staying Ahead
There will be new regulations in the future, and Water Companies continue to inspect and audit using a range of tools and preferences. Navigating these can be difficult for companies that span more than one boundary. Grease Guru works closely with Water Companies, regulators and manufacturers to ensure you always receive the best advice.

Our Commitment to You
Every grease trap installation we complete includes training to help you and your team confidently operate your grease management system from the first day.
To ensure your new systems continue to run smoothly, we offer ongoing quarterly maintenance support at an additional cost. This proactive approach helps protect your grease management investment.
We also provide complimentary grease management surveys, designed to identify compliance and grease management issues early before they become costly problems.
